Larger Voices Calling: Dragons, Dreamers, And Doers Day 2-Refugio...El Capitan

View Day 2 in a larger map      The first thing I noticed when I was riding was that Gretchen's dad has a REALLY big driveway. After the large driveway, there was a downhill. Then there was more downhill. We stopped at the bottom to eat our lunches, then set off again on the flat stretch to camp. After arriving, we set up camp, and hung out for a while. That was When Brad's porta-potty experience happened. Brad ate an orange, left the peels, and went to the bathroom. Victor came and told us to pick up the peels, and told us we could beat up brad later. After having picked up the peels, we were poised to throw them at Brad when he came out of the porta potty, but he never did. He stayed in there. It was then that we began to ROCK the porta-potty. everyone else had gone but me and Brian. Brian told me to rock it from the back, and he would rock it from the front. I went around the back, and Brian started to rock it, but THEN, Lili came, and started telling Brian off, while she was doing that, I managed to sneak around and go into one of the porta-potties to hide (it smelled awful). Quite an interesting day (i think Brian probably deserved it).

Larger Voices Calling: Dragons, Dreamers, and Doers Day 1-The Dragon's Spine

The first thing that I remember about today was when I arrived at the mission, and realized that something seemed off. I asked around, and eventually found out that I was an hour late. I was a bit upset, but i got on to my bus, bus number 1, and headed off to whatever hills awaited me. Right when I started off, I was faced with a 12-mile uphill. After an hour or 2, it started to level out, and we even saw a small downhill! It was a (very) small downhill. All that remained after that was whatever huge uphill was around the next corner. I remember being bike partners with Cooper, and being in Wren's family. I rested at the top awhile with Bradley, and gave him some of my frozen gatorade. I was looking forward to the big downhill, and I was not disappointed until I saw the driveway. The driveway itself must have been a quarter mile, and it was straight uphill!!!
