It is our first day here, and the worst part really is the weather! It's very hot, and there isn't that much water. John decided that we would be helping some kids with skateboards, so I guess that's pretty cool.
- Today we are going to go to the old palace. It's totally wrecked. There are still soldiers here for some reason, though. We asked them and they actually LET us SKATE THERE!!! They even took a picture of me with an AK-47! When we get back, I'll help build some ramps at the new location. Luckily, I brought a sleeping bag when they said we'd be sleeping on the ground!

Max, I actually loved your start. In a coyote way, it got me interested in what you were going to say about your time in Afghanistan. I liked the photos and videos also compelling me to read further. Your words petered out though. A couple sentences for all that (could have/should have) gone on there left me disappointed. Read some of the other Skateistan blogs to see what I mean.
On a design note, I personally prefer a consistent font style for Titles and body text instead of switching like you did.
